on my mind..

You give your hand to me
And then you say hello
And I can hardly speak
My heart is beating so
And anyone can tell
You think you know me well
Well you don't know me

No, you don't know the one
Who dreams of you at night
And longs to kiss your lips
And longs to hold you tight
Oh I'm just a friend
That's all I've ever been
'Cause you don't know me

For I never knew
The art of making love
Though my heart aches
With love for you
Afraid and shy
I let my chance to go by
The chance that you might love me, too

You give your hand to me
And then you say good-bye
I watch you walk away
Beside the lucky guy
Oh you'll never never know
The one who loves you so
Well, you don't know me

For I never knew
The art of making love
Though my heart aches
With love for you
Afraid and shy
I let my chance to go by
The chance that you might love me, too

You give your hand to me
And then you say good-bye
I watch you walk away
Beside the lucky guy
Oh, you'll never ever know
The one who loves you so
Well, you don't know me

You'll never know
The one who loves you so
Well, you don't know me

Careless Whisper

I've been listening to this cover over and over on my jogs the last few days. Seether did an amazing job and the lyrics are just really speaking to me right now.

I feel so unsure as I take your hand and lead you to the dance floor.
As the music dies...something in your eyes
Calls to mind a silver screen and all the sad goodbyes.

I'm never gonna dance again, these guilty feet have got no rhythm.
Though it's easy to pretend, I know you're not a fool.
I should've known better than to cheat a friend, and waste the chance that I'd been given.
So I'm never gonna dance again, the way I danced with you.

Time can never mend the careless whispers of a good friend.
To the heart and mind, ignorance is kind.
There's no comfort in the truth, pain is all you'll find.

Tonight the music seems so loud, I wish that we could lose this crowd.
Maybe it's better this way, we'd hurt each other with the things we want to say.
We could've been so good together, we could've lived this dance forever.
Now who's gonna dance with me? Please stay!
